Captain (Capt)


Capt. Ouellette started out cadets at 14 years old in Stony Plain, AB. She joined 299 RCSCC Mackenzie. During her time there she went on several trips, went to camps across the country and completed a deployment on HMCS Athabascan. In 2014, Capt. Ouellette moved to Bowden and started working with 7 Penhold RCACS.
She has held every position in the unit and took over as Commanding Officer in June 2022. She has one year left as our CO and will be moving on to another unit in 2026. Captain Ouellette has held a few summer training positions, most recently running the CAP for three years in Red Deer.
​Captain Ouellette was awarded two medals, the CD and Queens Platinum Jubilee for her work in the cadet program.

Deputy Commanding Officer

In her civilian life, A/SLt McRitchie is a wife and mother of two. She and her family live in Innisfail AB and she works for Rogers Communications in Corporate Security. She is an avid reader and loves camping and swimming with her kids.


Kourtney McRitchie

Sub-lieutenant (Slt)

A/SLt Kourtney McRitchie starter her career with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Sea Cadet with 335 RCSCC Calgary. During this time with Cadets, A/SLt McRitchie attended Winter Sail, CTC Quadra for Summer Camp in the Gunnery trade, as well as a trip out to HMCS Esquimalt to tour HMCS Calgary and HMCS Victoria.

The Military has always been an interest to A/SLt McRitchie; both her father and greandfather served in the Armed Forces. She left the cadet program at 17 after obtaining early acceptance to the University of Calgary where she studied Canadian Military History. The cadet program not only fostered this passion, but she was also able to earn a scholarship through the CAF that helped fund her degree.
A/SLt McRitchie came back to the cadet program as an Officer originally in 2008. She served for 2 years before taking a break to focus on her continuing education. Her return to the uniform occurred in 2018 when she was on maternity leave with her first child; the call of polished parade boots and crisp drill never leaving her.

Warinda Schneider

Captain (Capt.)


​Capt,. Schneider has been apart of the CAF for 29 years. When she was enrolled as a cadet she was able to reach the prestigious rank of Chief Warrant Officer. She worked at Penhold Air Cadet Summer Training Center at Springbrook for 18 summers and one summer at Gimli Gliding Center in Manitoba.
She has been apart of 7 Penholds Squadron Staff for 5 years and in the past has worked with 24 Red Deer and 733 Drayton Valley. Was fortunate enough to go in an F16 as a cadet at Ogden City, Utah Air Force Base and flew over the training range to destroy buildings.
